CLIENT SERVICES
• • • •
On September 1, 1983 we began our practice with five insurance clients. We now represent over 50 insurance companies, self-insured groups and self-insured employers. We know that our ability to keep these clients and develop new relationships requires total dedication to the needs and expectations of each of our clients. In addition to our commitment to excellence in the performance of legal services, we consider our clients’ demand for quick response to their calls and requests as the number one priority of our entire staff. The following services are available to all of our clients:
TELEPHONE INQUIRIES ON GENERAL QUESTIONS
We encourage our clients to call us for answers to questions they may have on employer or business liability issues. We do not charge our clients for these general inquiries as we regard this service as our way of thanking them for their business.
INDIVIDUALIZED MINI-SEMINARS
Upon request and at no charge, we will go the the client’s claims office to provide an in-house seminar for the adjusting staff. Each adjuster attending the seminar is provided with an “Adjuster’s Defense Guide” which, in addition to the particular seminar materials, includes an arsenal of defense tools and weapons for the adjuster.
E-NEWS BULLETINS
In conjunction with the rapid dissemination of information in the world we live in, our firm has replaced our mail out newsletter with E-mail News Bulletins. This service allows our firm to be on the forefront in providing clients with the latest information and breaking news regarding legislation and litigation within the state. If you do not already receive our E-mail Bulletins and would like to receive them, please contact Denis Juge at djuge@wcdefense.com.
E-MAIL COMMUNICATIONS
In keeping with our commitment to technology, we have installed a communication system that will facilitate electronic communications from our clients. The e-mail service will reduce the “telephone-tag” problem that sometimes occurs when the attorney and the adjuster never seem to be available at the same time. Our general e-mail address is djuge@wcdefense.com. Each attorney can be reached at their direct e-mail address, which is the first initial and last name of the attorney followed by @wcdefense.com.
WEB SERVICES
www.wcdefense.com
Our website provides a “Client Toolbox” to calculate the supplemental earnings benefits. The client can go the site to download the Maximum and Minimum Compensation Rate Schedule, Medical History Questionnaire and other forms used in the adjusting of state and federal workers’ compensation claims. The Client Toolbox also provides a spreadsheet for the adjuster.
COMMITMENT TO TECHNOLOGY
“The road to success is always under construction.”
James B. Miller, author The Corporate Coach
Since the establishment of the firm in 1983, we have invested in the technological tools to improve the quality and efficiency of our legal services. Our first bank loan involved the purchase of two Xerox dedicated word processors ($16,000 each) and a daisy wheel printer that was so loud, we had to place a cover over it while it printed. Within a few years we realized that individual PC’s offered greater capabilities so we donated the two dinosaurs to the Boy Scouts while we continued to pay the note for their original purchase. Our experience is not unique, but it illustrates our willingness to move forward with the most efficient tools and computer systems available.
